What's new in libraries across West Lothian

From 1st April 2018, members will be able to Icon for pdf Borrow+ [1.51MB] with West Lothian Libraries. 

West Lothian Libraries are supporting their customers to expand their reading choices.  The limit for physical items will increase from 10 to 20 items.  In addition, members will be able to request up to 20 physical items at a time from the library catalogue.  And finally, West Lothian Libraries are removing all request charges from 1st April 2018.

Visit your local library to Icon for pdf Borrow+ [1.51MB] and stock up on your reading material.  Alternatively you can use the online catalogue..

You can now access free WiFi at the following libraries:

  • Simpson Library, Bathgate
  • Broxburn
  • Carmondean Connected
  • Fauldhouse
  • Lanthorn
  • Linlithgow

My PC Booking System

You can now book your own session on one of the public computers in all libraries and some community centres. Simply register at My PC with your library barcode and PIN on your phone, tablet or pc.
Sessions can be booked up to a week in advance.

Hearing Aid Batteries Available in Libraries

You can collect batteries for your NHS hearing aid from all libraries. Staff can give you a three month supply of batteries free of charge: simply bring your yellow audiology book.


The eLibrary is open 24/7, offering free downloads of ebooks, eMagazines and eTalking Books, so why not have a look at what's available?

A great selection of eBooks and eTalking Books is now brought to you through BorrowBox. 

There are currently 28 eMagazines available from RBDigital, with something to suit everyone.

You simply sign up with your library barcode, create an account and start downloading to tablets, smart phones, laptops and pcs.
