Service changes during COVID 19 - Development Management
All members of staff of West Lothian Council's Development Management team are working remotely and are contactable using their normal email addresses. Although we will aim to provide as normal a service as possible, unfortunately some aspects of our work may not be the same as in normal operating times.
As a result of remote working, we can only respond to electronic enquiries at this time. We therefore strongly encourage you to submit any general development management enquiries by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.These enquiries will be logged and passed to the appropriate staff member to respond to.
If you are looking for information on how to submit a planning application or a formal pre-application enquiry or have a current planning application which you would like an update on this can be obtained using the links further down this page.
If you wish to submit information in respect of a specific application this can be done through the planning portal or emailed, with the planning reference number, to email@example.com
Unfortunately we will not be able to undertake visits to application sites in the same manner as we would normally. Where site notices would normally be displayed at a site, these can now be viewed in the individual application case files. Current notices are in place for the following sites :
Case officers will therefore be in touch with applicants or agents to request photographs or consideration of other means of assessing the site and we would ask for your co-operation in facilitating such requests.
When the Covid-19 situation is deemed to be under control, it is anticipated that normal service will be resumed.
