Main Street, East Calder - Phased Road Closure (Saturday 27 June)
Main Street will be closed in phases for extensive carriageway resurfacing works
Due to the nature of the works being undertaken it will be necessary to close each phase of the carriageway while works are taking place. Vehicular Access will be maintained to residential and business premises when it is safe and practical to do when works are being undertaken but unfortunately there will be times when vehicular access will be restricted depending on the works taking place at any given time.
When will this take place?
The phased closure will take place between Saturday 27 June and Sunday 2 August
Public Transport Disruption
As a result of the closures there will be a disruption to bus services with an East Calder shuttle service being put in place as follows:
Work will be carried out in four phases
Phase 1
Between Main Street's junction with Langton Road and Queen's Gardens
Phase 2
Between Queen's Gardens and Manse Court
Phase 3
Between Manse Court and the entrance to the Partnership Centre
Phase 4
Between the entrance to the Partnership Centre and the car park at The Grapes Public House
