Current Road Closures, Diversions and Traffic Disruptions
Details of road closures and diversions currently in place in West Lothian.
It is our aim to limit the inconvenience to road users during maintenance works however, from time to time, we need to close roads or divert the traffic.

The U21, Stoneyburn will be closed from the junction with Cannop Crescent to entrance to South East Longridge Crofts for Scottish Water sewer works
The C13 Wester Breich will be closed between entrance to Gardner's Hall and Wester Breich centred on Wester Breich Bridge over Foulsheils Burn for rebuild of accidentally damaged parapet
The Middleton Road will be closed from the junction with with Loaninghill Cottages to number 55 for drainage works
Pumpherston Road, Bank Street, Main Street and Market Street will be closed for carriageway resurfacing works taking place over two phases
Greendykes Road will be closed around the junction with East Main Street and Strathbrock Place will also be closed. Parking will also be suspended on Greensdykes Road, East Main Street and Strathbrock Place for carriageway works
The footpath and car parking area next to 92 Kennilworth Rise will be closed to allow for scaffolding to be erected for roofing works
The A899 on ramp south bound from Cousland Road will be closed to install a road crossing for a street lighting duct
The C17, Rural Linlithgow will be closed from the junction with Riccarton Drive to the junction with C18 for ironwork replacement
Morton Road will be closed from the A71 to other side of rail bridge for rail bridge inspection
Details of the M8 overnight carriageway closures from 25 May to 13 July 2026.
Harthill Road Fauldhouse will be closed from its junction with Main Street, Fauldhouse to the speed limit signs at the junction with Fallahill Place to allow for carriageway resurfacing. The footpath will be closed and parking also suspended
Parking will be suspended on Almond West Road, Craigshill between the access junction to Maree Walk and junction joining to Morlich Walk to provide clear and safe access for construction traffic throughout the construction works of the new Craigshill Primary School. This will also help ensure adjacent resident driveways are unimpeded and protect public safety..
