B792 Bathgate Road, Blackburn - Road Closure (Sunday 27 Jul)

The B792 Bathgate Road will be closed between the junction with Riddochhill Road to the entrance to Lothian DAF Company over the bridge crossing the M8 for bridge repair work being carried out by BEAR Scotland.

When will this take place?

  • The closure will be in place from 7pm on Sunday 27 July until 11.59pm on Tuesday 12 August

Diversion via B792, A7066, A801, Main Street, West Main Street and vice versa

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Public Transport Update

A further update regarding public buses on the route: This closure will impact the Lothian Country 73 Service, which runs from Livingston to Blackburn via Bathgate and Wester Inch. Lothian Country have confirmed that, for the duration of the closure, they will terminate at a temporary bus stop in Whitehill Industrial Estate. As bridge access for pedestrians will be maintained throughout the closure, passengers can connect to the service by walking from Blackburn to the new temporary bus stop in Whitehill Industrial Estate. The Lothian Country 72 service will continue to operate as normal through West Main Street and East Main street via Ash Grove and Elm Grove to Livingston, therefore any passengers wishing to travel to Livingston will be able to walk to this service.
