Housing Scotland Act
Updating your tenancy - have you told us of any changes?
Housing Scotland Act 2014
(implementation date 1 November 2019)
All tenants were sent a letter at the end of October 2018 advising them that the Housing Scotland Act 2014 will mean changes to the Scottish Secure Tenancy. This requires you, the tenant, to inform West Lothian Council of any changes to your tenancy. For more information see the Housing Scotland Act 2014 leaflet (PDF, 154 KB)(opens new window)
If you have updates to your tenancy that you haven't already told us about you can contact us by;
- completing the online form and selecting 'Housing and Repairs - Tenancy Related Enquiry' from the drop down menu,
- go in to your local CIS office
- send us a letter
From 1 November 2019, not providing this information could have an adverse effect on requests to make changes to your tenancy i.e. for a joint tenancy, succession, sublet or assignation.
You can check your current tenancy details, including members of the household, by logging on to the Housing Online
