Trusted Trader
West Lothian Trusted Trader helps you to choose a reputable trader through viewing previous customer feedback.
West Lothian Trusted Trader launched in November 2013 and allows consumers to search for a reputable trader.
Consumers can access comments from previous customers and can provide their own feedback through a Comments and Ratings form provided by a member of our scheme and sent directly to us. If you do not receive a feedback form after work is completed by one of our members, please contact us. Alternatively you can complete an online feedback form.
Any traders joining the scheme and required to sign up to a code of practice agreeing to trade fairly, with Trading Standards monitoring their business practices.
Before entering into a contract with a trader for any work, pre-shopping advice can be obtained from Citizens Advice (opens new window).
Limitations to the Scheme

However, we can offer assistance in the event of complaints through our Dispute Resolution Service. Details of this can be found in the Trusted Trader terms and conditions (PDF, 469 KB)(opens new window).
