Tobacco and Smoking Policy
The council has a tobacco/smoking policy which complies with the terms of the Smoking, Health and Social Care (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Prohibition of Smoking in Certain Premises (Scotland) Regulations 2006.
The following should be noted when a tradesperson visits your property:
- Council staff will not smoke within or in close proximity to your property
- Tenants are asked not to smoke during the time that the trades operatives are within your premises.
- Council staff may refuse to enter premises where there is a risk of smoke inhalation.
