Looking for some fun games and activities to keep the kids (or adults!) occupied at home?  Say no more, the Waste Education team have you covered!  Check out all of our educational activities below which promote the 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Please feel free to print out the worksheets for use at home, in school or with community groups.

Did you know that disposable face coverings have a lifespan of 450 years? This means that any disposable masks we throw away while tackling the pandemic will still be around for the next 4 centuries! We are already finding masks and plastic gloves washed up on beaches around the world and with the use of face coverings becoming mandatory in shops this week why not stay safe while also keeping the environment safe too? By making your own face covering from unwanted pillowcases, t-shirts or even socks you can reduce the demand for disposable face masks, recycle your unwanted fabrics and reuse your masks over and over again, just wash it after every use - that's the 3 R's in one face mask! Have a look at the below videos and the BBC How To Make Your Own Face Mask Guide to see just how easy it is to make your own waste free face mask:
