2026 Scottish Parliament election
The Scottish Parliament election will be held on Thursday 7 May 2026
The Notice of Election for the Almond Valley Constituency and the Notice of Election for the Bathgate Constituency have been published.
The election will take place on new constituency and region boundaries. You can see maps of:

Register to Vote
If you want to have your say at the election you must be registered to vote by midnight on Monday 20 April. You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote (opens new window). If you are not sure if you are registered to vote should contact the Electoral Registration Officer (opens new window)
If you won't be able to go to the polling station on 7 May you can apply for a postal or proxy vote. The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday 21 April. The deadline to apply for a proxy vote is 5pm on Tuesday 28 April.
