Placing in School Appeal Form
Please use this form to submit an appeal for a place at a primary or secondary school where you have applied and been refused a place.
Please ensure you have the refusal letter to hand when you complete this form. Please bear in mind that your appeal must be submitted within 28 days of receipt of the refusal letter. If you do not have a refusal letter, please do not submit this form until you receive your letter.
Once you submit this form, you will receive an automatic e-mail receipt. You will then be contacted by committee services who will ensure your appeal is progressed for consideration by the independent West Lothian (Placing in Schools) Appeal Committee.
Appeals are normally held within 3-4 weeks. However, you should note that due to the volume of appeals in May and June each year, it can take up to 8 weeks for your appeal to be considered by the Committee.
