Barbecues (BBQs)
Visitors and small groups of less than 10 persons can use disposable BBQs in the Country Parks.
But only when they place them onto metal plates attached to picnic tables, provided for this purpose.
These are located are various locations in the Park including at within the walled garden, on Naysmyth Meadow and on the riverside area behind the disabled car park. All disposable BBQs should be fully extinguished after use and the cold BBQ then placed next to one of the Country Park bins.
No other BBQs are allowed within the Country Parks.
Never place hot disposable BBQs in bins or use a disposable BBQ/naked flames when the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) has issued a high or very high risk of fire warning (to do so would be irresponsible and a risk to our outdoors). Before igniting any flames in an outdoor setting, everyone should check which area of Scotland may be at threat of wildfires.
