The A801 northbound leg at Whitburn roundabout will be closed overnight only for urgent bridge repairs
When will this take place?
The Road Closure will take place from 8pm on Wednesday 28 January until 6am on Tuesday 3 February
Diversion Routes
Diversion via Junction 4A Heartlands, then use the interchange to turn and take the M8 eastbound back to Junction 4 leaving the motorway to join the A801.
A diversion route suitable for local road traffic travelling westbound on the A705, Main Street, will be signposted to continue past the turn for the A801 and instead turn right on to Armadale Road then take the second exit onto the A706 at the Whitdale Roundabout before joining the A801 at the Boghead Roundabout.
A diversion route suitable for local road traffic travelling eastbound on the A705, Main Street, will be signposted to continue past the turn for the A801 until reaching the Toll Roundabout from where they will be directed to take the first exit onto the A779 Starlaw Road. Diverted traffic will then remain on the A779 Starlaw Road through two roundabouts before taking the first exit at the Boghall Roundabout onto the A7066 Starlaw Road and continuing on the A7066 before joining the A801 at the Boghead Roundabout.
