No changes to May Day holiday bin collections

Collections for the May Day public holiday are scheduled as normal, with residents asked to ensure the correct bin is placed by the kerbside by 7am.

The reduced staffing levels over holiday period means it is more likely that collections will be delayed, so residents are asked to leave their bins out until they are emptied. It could take up to a week to catch up on all missed collections.

All available resources are being used to minimise the impact on West Lothian residents who are asked to be patient over this period and continue to support our dedicated staff, who have worked hard to make sure bin collections were maintained over the last year.

Updates on collections will be available at Bin Collection Daily Updates for anyone who wishes to check on progress. Any bins not picked up by Monday 10 May can be reported using the form on this page.

All five of West Lothian's recycling centres will be open as normal from 10am until last entry at 5.45pm over the Easter holiday weekend. For more details, please visit Community Recycling Centres 

Please be aware that May Day bank holiday weekend is often a busy time for recycling centres, so queues are likely at busier centres such as Oakbank in Livingston.
