Local History Library
In line with current guidance from the Scottish Government on social distancing, the Local History Library is closed until further notice. During this time, the Museums Service will continue to post collection images and stories on West Lothian Council - Museums and Local History Facebook page
The Local History Library is based in Tam Dalyell House (formerly County Buildings) in Linlithgow High Street.
The Local History library is a reference library. Customers are welcome to come and carry out research. Staff are able to direct customers to the Local History Library where customers can browse the collection and carry out their own research. We are unable to answer enquiries by telephone or email but you are welcome to pop in to the Local History Library.

- Monday: 9am - 5pm
- Tuesday: 9am - 7pm
- Wednesday: 9am - 5pm
- Thursday: 9am - 7pm
- Friday: 9am - 5pm
- Saturday: 9am - 1pm
