Macmillan Benefits Advice

Worried about your finances? Make money one less worry

Living with cancer can be tough on your finances. You may have to spend more on everyday costs like heating, child care and travel, at a time when your income has fallen. It's hard knowing how to plan ahead and too often, money worries can get out of control.

Our Macmillan benefits advisers can help you by working out what financial help you may be entitled to and helping you to access it. We have specialist knowledge of benefits, tax credits and grants and can offer you up-to-date, invaluable advice. You can speak to our benefits advisers over the phone or face-to-face.

The benefits system can seem complicated and finding your way through it can be difficult. Dealing with government agencies and filling in forms may feel like too much to cope with right now.

But you don't have to do it alone - we can help

We can help you:

  • with benefit applications and issues with your benefit claims
  • apply for transport concessions, such as Blue Badge
  • access Macmillan Grants

We can also refer you to other services which offer help on:

  • energy and housing advice
  • debt, money and pensions
  • insurance policies
  • mortgages
  • wills and estate planning
  • support at work.

Where required we offer a home visit service and we will signpost you to other services for additional support.
