Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) aims to improve the quality of health care in Scotland by setting and monitoring standards for NHS Scotland and its partners.
Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) (opens new window) is a national healthcare improvement organisation for Scotland, working with staff to provide care in hospitals, GP practices, clinics, NHS boards and patients, carers, communities and the public.
They aim to drive improvements by following:
- Supporting and empowering people to have an informed voice in managing their own care and shaping how services are designed and delivered
- Delivery scrutiny activities which are fair but challenging and leads to improvements for patients
- Providing quality improvement support to healthcare providers
