Rural Community Local Led Development 2025-2026 Expression of Interest
The West Lothian Rural, Community Led Local Development fund (RCLLD) grant programme is now open for Expressions of Interest
The aim of the RCLLD Fund is to deliver community-based activity to meet one or more of the Scottish Government priorities:
Eradicating child poverty
Growing the economy
Tackling the climate emergency
Improving public services
Improving Public Services Priority
Planned Preventative Maintenance and Capital Improvement Fund
A Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule (PPM) is a survey of the building which identifies ongoing maintenance and renovation works for a set period. They help to keep repairs are up to date, preventing larger unexpected bills.
We are hoping to support community owned and run buildings and facilities, or those going through community asset transfers by supporting them to carry out PPM Schedules and capital renovation works identified therein.

Supporting Asset Transfers
We are also keen to hear from all types of asset transfer including community gardens. We will consider supporting surveys and other preparatory work where commitment to the transfer can be evidenced.

Eligible areas:
Projects based in, or benefitting, rural areas of West Lothian are eligible.
Eligible applicants:
Organisation and groups eligible to apply include, but are not limited to;CICs, SCIOs, development trusts, community groups, volunteer groups and social enterprises.
- We do not accept applications from individuals
- We are not accepting applications from businesses at his time
- Your group/organisation must have a bank account
Funding available:
- We currently have circa £100,000 for projects
- This is a mix of capital and revenue funding
Due to the short-term nature of the funding we do not anticipate covering staff costs. However, they may be considered for one off events or similar. Please discuss this with the co-ordinator before submitting your application.
