Scotland-wide free bus travel was introduced on 1 April 2006 and entitles anyone aged 60 and over and eligible disabled persons age 5 and over who live in Scotland, to travel free on both local registered services and long-distance bus services within Scotland, without any peak-time restrictions.
West Lothian Council offer concessionary travel to older and disabled citizens as well as some school children, 16-18 year olds and full time volunteers up to 25 years.
