Charity Trust Grants
Are you an Organisation, Charity or Community Group that delivers beneficial activities or assists your local community? Do you require some funding to help with a project, event or one-off cost? If so, we would love to hear from you!
West Lothian Council administer trusts on behalf of individuals who have bequeathed funds to the communities of West Lothian Council region. The trust funds can and do hold particular criteria that will allow for a disbursement of funds to be made to organisations/groups should their primary purpose or activity align to the specified characteristics of the trust.
Criteria Required
You must have an activity that is delivered in the areas of:
- Armadale
- Boghall
- Bathgate
- Uphall Parish Area
You must have an activity that aligns to the specifics of the fund (more details below).
Your application must be for a specific project, event or one-off cost that can be evidenced.
You must be able to provide a constitutional document and a bank statement as evidence of your Organisation/Group's authenticity.
An official officer of your Organisation/Group must sign the application form.
The Trusts available for disbursement are:

Bathgate and Boghall Youth and Community Endeavour Trust | To encourage the youth of Bathgate to take part in community endeavours or individual activities to improve the welfare of the youths involved and the local community | Boghall and Bathgate |
Mrs Violet Kirk Bequest | To benefit organisations in the Bathgate area that benefits the local community | Bathgate |
Quarter Farm Mortification for Benefit of Poor | To benefit organisations and community groups that benefit people living within the Uphall parish area. | Uphall Parish area |
Robert Turner of Armadale | To benefit community organisations within the town of Armadale | Armadale |
