Targeted Youth Work

The Cosmic Club is a youth group delivered in partnership between an independent committee and CLD Youth Services.

The group is for young people aged 12-25 who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and who are, or have been, educated within mainstream education.

The group provides a welcoming environment where young people can socialise, build friendships, develop skills and take part in activities and opportunities that interest them.

The Glitter Cannons provide safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where young people can socialise, build friendships, express themselves and take part in activities that celebrate creativity, identity and community.

The groups offer a range of activities including community projects, live music events, creative writing and drama workshops, arts projects, crafting, guest speakers, games and trivia quizzes.

Working alongside partners including LGBT Youth Scotland, the groups support young people to build confidence, develop positive relationships and feel connected within a supportive environment.

Glitter Cannons Junior

For young people aged 11-16

The Junior group provides an opportunity for younger LGBTQ+ young people and allies to meet others, explore interests, take part in activities and develop confidence in a safe and supportive space.

Glitter Cannons Senior

For young people aged 16-25

The Senior group provides a space for older LGBTQ+ young people and allies to connect with peers, take part in projects and activities, and have their voices heard in a supportive environment.

Motiv8 is a youth group for young people who identify as neurodiverse. The group is open to young people who may or may not have a formal diagnosis but are looking to connect with peers, develop independence skills and take part in new opportunities.

Motiv8 provides a supportive environment where young people can participate in activities, build confidence and develop positive relationships.
