West Lothian partners have developed a draft Children's Services Plan for 2026-2029
This sets out our shared vision and priorities to improve outcomes for children, young people and families across West Lothian. The plan has been shaped by national policy, local feedback from children, young people, and their families or carers and learning from previous plans, and focuses on early intervention, prevention and reducing inequalities.
We are inviting children, young people, partner organisations and members of the wider community to share their views on the draft Children's Services Plan 2026-2029 (PDF, 2 MB)(opens new window). This plan sets out our priorities and commitments to improve support for children and young people over the next three years. Your feedback is essential in helping us ensure the plan reflects real experiences, addresses current and emerging challenges, and focuses on what matters most to children and young people. By taking part in this engagement, you will help shape the final plan so that it is responsive, practical and delivers meaningful improvements across our communities to ensure that children in West Lothian have the best possible start to life.
