Council Executive have been asked to back plans to finalise the programme for the delivery of the new state-of-the-art school on the former site of Riverside Primary.
If approved, the construction process is expected to take around 15 months, with the new school open for the start of the August 2027 term.
The proposed new three-storey primary school will bring both the current Letham and Riverside schools together, and will have capacity for 462 primary pupils, integrated early years facility, external play spaces, landscaping, and car park.
The project is funded by West Lothian Council and the Learning Estate Investment Programme (LEIP), a joint scheme between Scottish and local government.
The estimated cost of delivering the school has risen by £1.8 million to £25.8million, after additional costs associated with the demolition of the former Riverside Primary and unforeseen issues with ground conditions.
