Changes for West Lothian Asymptomatic Testing Sites
Locations where local residents can go for Asymptomatic Covid-19 Testing are set to change.
The sites provide free testing for Covid-19 for anyone who does not have symptoms. Not everyone who has Covid-19 develops symptoms, so getting tested and taking appropriate action if the test is positive can help prevent the virus from spreading.
West Lothian Council currently operates two Asymptomatic Testing Sites (ATS):
- An ATS is currently open at Strathbrock Partnership Centre in Broxburn, moving from its previous location at Crofthead Community Centre in Livingston.
- The ATS at Fauldhouse Partnership Centre is currently closed and will re-open in Linlithgow Burgh Halls on Tuesday 5 October at 9.30am.
Anyone wishing to get tested can go along to these sites without an appointment, 7 days per week between 9.30am and 4.30pm. Testing kits can also be picked up for free from most pharmacies.
A West Lothian Council spokesperson said: "We would encourage everyone to get tested regularly as an important method of reducing the spread of Covid-19 in West Lothian.
"The locations for the ATS sites move on a regular basis to ensure as many local residents as possible have the chance to access testing near them."
