Local drop-in vaccination clinic to operate in Whitburn and Blackburn
The first clinic will soon be in operation in Whitburn and will be open on Monday 9 August from 8am-7pm at Whitburn bowling club, 121 W Main St, Whitburn, EH47 0QF.
The second clinic will be open in Blackburn a day later, on Tuesday 10th August from 9am-3pm at Blackburn Partnership Centre, Ashgrove, Blackburn, EH47 7LL.
Both clinics will be able to offer vaccinations to anyone aged 18 or over with no appointment necessary.
Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech will be available for those aged under 40 years old.
AstraZeneca will be available for those aged over 40 years old.
Anyone eligible, who has not yet had their first dose - for whatever reason - can attend a drop-in clinic without an appointment, while those who are waiting for their second dose can turn up as long as they received their first injection of the COVID-19 vaccine at least eight weeks before.
