West Lothian Community Choices is a new process to involve communities in decision making, with various topics for discussion and decision being undertaken. One of these topics is Park Improvements and at the end of November 2020, the public were invited to provide feedback on how money already allocated in West Lothian Council's Capital Investment for public park improvements could be best utilised in the following parks:
- King George V Playing Fields, Uphall
- Bellsquarry Recreation Ground, Bellsquarry, Livingston
- Craigton Park, Winchburgh
- Langton Park, East Calder
- Letham Park, Pumpherston
The feedback from the initial surveys has been analysed and turned into some improvement options, which, along with their associated costs, have been published online.
Members of the public now have the opportunity to choose which improvements they think the funds should be allocated to. Voting is open now until 3 May 2021 and everyone is encouraged to participate in the decision-making process for their local park as set out above.
