Notice of election published ahead of Scottish Parliament Election
An election will be held on 6 May 2021 to elect Members of Scottish Parliament (MSPs) to the Scottish Parliament. The Notice of Election was published today for the Almond Valley and the Linlithgow constituencies, and for the Lothian region.
Voters in West Lothian will be able to cast a vote in the constituency and regional contests.
Nomination forms are now available for prospective candidates seeking election to the Scottish Parliament.
The nomination period runs from Tuesday 16 March to Wednesday 31 March 2021. Nominations can be lodged between 10am and 4pm on each working day during this period.
Nominations must be lodged not later than 4pm on Wednesday 31 March 2021.
Prospective candidates (and/or election agents) should contact a member of the Election Team on 01506 282035 or by email at elections@westlothian.gov.uk to arrange a date and time for checking of their nomination papers and to thereafter formally lodge their nomination paper. Please note a deposit of £500 has to be paid by anyone who wishes to stand.
