Kindness to others
Some wonderful examples of kindness in the community took place across West Lothian in the run up to Christmas with a mix of groups from the third sector, private sector and the council coming together.
Of course, things are very different this year and unfortunately the usual pensioner Christmas lunch parties which take place every December had to be cancelled.
However, a number of organisations such as West Lothian Foodbank, Braid House Day Centre, Riverkids, Parsley Box and many,many more asked what could be done as an alternative and have went above and beyond to ensure that those in need don't go without this Christmas
From the preparation delivery of hot meals to pensioners and those in homeless accomodation to the raising of funds so that gifts could be given to children and adults alike their efforts and the efforts of all volunteers should be recognised and thanked.
