To help local residents, the council compiled a useful list to signpost them to organisations that offer delivery or collections in West Lothian. This includes a wide range of organisations including community groups, local shops and national retailers.

There are separate searchable section for both local shops offering home delivery and community information and West Lothian-wide information, which was be broken down by type of service and local areas.

Local residents are then able to contact the organisation direct to arrange for delivery or collection, either online or by phone.

Executive councillor for development and transport Cathy Muldoon said: "We believe that everyone in West Lothian should have access to food, medicine and other support when they require it.

"This excellent new resource is available to everyone and will help local residents find the right organisation or business for their needs.

"Whilst help is in place for specific groups such as those shielding or vulnerable categories, we wanted to make sure that everyone in West Lothian was aware of the delivery and collection services available that can be accessed by all.

"We are aware that many people didn't know what delivery and collection services were available, so this list will help signpost people to those which operate in their area or provide specific services."

The list has been compiled with details from organisations and businesses that the council have been in contact with, and information that is already in the public domain. Every effort has been made to ensure the list is as a comprehensive as possible, as resources allow.
