Youth Work In Schools

Supporting young people in schools through early intervention, personal development, and opportunities that improve engagement, wellbeing, and attainment.

About Our Youth Work in Schools Service

Community Learning and Development (CLD) Youth Services deliver youth work across secondary schools in West Lothian, working alongside young people, schools and partner services to improve engagement, attainment and positive outcomes.

Through a range of youth work approaches and activities, we support young people to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, develop skills and increase participation in education, helping them progress towards positive destinations.

Youth Work in Schools Team

Each secondary school in West Lothian has an allocated Community Learning and Development (CLD) Worker who provides youth work support within the school community.

Our Senior Community Education Workers coordinate youth work delivery across learning communities and schools. Below you will find the relevant contact for your school, who can provide further information about the youth work opportunities and support available.
