Economic Strategy

The West Lothian Economic Partnership Forum launched its Economic Strategy and Action Plan 2014 - 2017 in March 2014.

  • Business
  • Investment
  • Skills and Lifelong Learning
  • Employment
  • Tourism
  • Town Centres
  • Regeneration
  • Enterprising Third Sector

The West Lothian Economic Growth Plan

The West Lothian Economic Growth Plan is a £29m partnership approach to developing the West Lothian Economy. It was developed by West Lothian Council, in partnership with the Scottish Government and Scottish Enterprise.

The plan is being delivered by the council in partnership with Scottish Enterprise and delivers:

  • Immediate support for people,
  • Community regeneration,
  • An enterprise area, and
  • Long-term innovation and development

West Lothian's Economic Partners

Economic Development at both national and local level is primarily delivered through partnership processes. The West Lothian Economic Partnership Forum is a key pillar within the West Lothian Community Planning Partnership. Members of the Economic Forum include West Lothian Council, Scottish Enterprise, Department of Work and Pensions,  Skills Development Scotland, West Lothian College, West Lothian Chamber and the Federation of Small Businesses.
