On 9 December 2020, the Scottish Government announced its intention to establish a specific fund to provide financial support to taxi and private hire vehicle drivers in Scotland in recognition of the significant disruption that you have experienced as a result of restrictions introduced to control the spread of COVID-19.
West Lothian Council's Discretionary Business Fund aims to provide a one-off £2,000 hardship grant to local businesses.
This fund will provide support for those who run a close contact business on a mobile basis or from home and are in financial hardship due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
This grant scheme is designed to help alleviate financial hardship for newly self-employed people. To be eligible for this grant, you must have been operating your business before 17 March 2020, lost income as a result of Covid-19 restrictions, and meet all of the eligibility criteria.
Whatever stage your business is at, you will find enthusiastic, professional staff at West Lothian Council's Economic Development service who can provide a full range of assistance to business.
