  • Household Waste Recycling Centres

    West Lothian Council provides five Household Waste Recycling Centres where residents can take household items to be recycled or disposed of. Details of the locations and opening hours of recycling centres can be be viewed here.

    Home Composting is a simple way to turn your garden and kitchen waste into a useful soil enhancer for your garden, while at the same time reducing the volume of waste into you household bins.

  • Community Waste Awareness

  • Waste Education

    The Waste Team can work with your nursery, primary school or secondary school to offer free waste minimisation and recycling information and resources.

  • Recycling on the Go

    Recycle on the Go bins and are now available at 26 sites across West Lothian including parks, medical centres, partnership centres, community centres and popular public areas. Location of venues can be viewed below.

  • Glass Recycling

    The roll out of a new colour separated glass recycling scheme throughout West Lothian is now underway. You can find details of your nearest glass recycling point below.
