Ward 9 - Armadale and Blackridge

Local Area Committees (LAC) - 10am on 31 August. Venue: Council Chambers, Civic Centre.

Armadale Academy anniversary - This year marks 50 years since Armadale Academy was first opened in 1967. It is planned to celebrate the school's Golden Anniversary in September and plans are currently being made as to how the event can be celebrated as a community.  It is hoped to have a guest speaker to describe the changes over the last five decades as well as having some displays.  The school is looking for help to create this. Do you have any photographs from your time at Armadale Academy over the last 50 years? Maybe you have photos from the old school?  Perhaps sporting or academic achievements or music shows etc.  Any photos can be copied by the school promptly and returned to you. It is also hoped to have displays in the school cabinets of memorabilia from the last 50 years that would be of interest to others at this event The school is open to suggestions for ideas on how it should mark this anniversary. If you can help with any of these ideas or would like to be involved please get in touch with or call 01506 282145.
