Dementia café - Forget-me-not Café, East Calder, is a meeting place where people who have any form of dementia, and their carers, can come to meet others in a similar situation for support and social contact, a cup of tea or coffee and cakes on the third Thursday of every month, from 10am - 12noon, at East Calder Parish Church Hall, Main Street, East Calder.

Ageing Well - Singing for Health sessions for people aged 50 and over will be held in the Good Neighbourhood Centre, Craigshill, from 10.30am - 12noon every Wednesday. The first half-an-hour is tea, coffee and chat, followed by singing from 11am. The cost per session is £1.20. For more information, contact 07768 090 008.

o    Meet the Animals event by Urban Nature takes place from 2pm on Wednesday 5 July.  Please note that spaces are limited and this is a ticketed event. Speak to library staff to secure your place.

o    Junior Craft animal mask-making takes place from 1pm - 3pm on Tuesday 18 July

·         Book Group for Adults - Everyone is welcome to a relaxed hour of discussion with free refreshments. The next session is from 5.45pm - 6.45pm on Thursday 27 July

·         Bookbug - The next sessions are from 10.30am - 11am on Monday 10 and Saturday 22 July.

o    Pebble Buddies takes place from 3pm - 4pm on Wednesday 26 July

·         The Book Group - next meets from 5.30pm - 6.30pm on Thursday 27 July.  All new members are welcome.

·         Crime-Reading Group for adults - A new crime-reading group for adults meets from 3pm on the last Wednesday of the month. The next session is on Wednesday 26 July.

·         Almondbank Kid's Book Group - is a children's book group meeting in Almondbank Library on a Thursday after school.  Reading and activities for ages 8 - 11.  Spaces are available. The next sessions are from 3.30pm - 4.30pm on Thursdays 13 and 27 July.

·         Almondbank Sora/Graphic Novel Group - If you're into comics (whether reading, writing or drawing), then come along and meet some like-minded people.  New members welcome. The next sessions are from 4.30pm - 6pm on Thursdays 13 and 27 July.

·         Bookbug - The next sessions are from 2pm - 2.30pm on Tuesdays 11 and 25 July.
