Local Area Committees (LAC) - 9am on 29 September. Venue: Council Chambers, Civic Centre.
· Tea Dance -will be held in Howden Park Centre from 1.30pm - 4pm on Friday 21 July. The cost is £2.50. For more information, contact Avril on 07768 090 008 or 01506 237950.
· A Ballroom and Latin dance class - for beginners meets at Howden Park Centre every Wednesday. Registration is at 3.15pm, and the class takes place from 3.30pm - 4.30pm. The cost is £3.50 per person, and there is no need to book. All sessions are suitable for the over 50s and there is no need to have a partner. Dementia café - The Café Connect Extra Café, Dedridge, is a meeting place where people who have any form of dementia, and their carers, can come to meet others in a similar situation for support and social contact, a cup of tea or coffee and home baking. Carers on their own are also welcome, as are people with dementia who are able to make their own way there. Come along for the whole session, or just drop in for as long as you like. The café runs on the first Wednesday of every month from 2pm - 3.30pm at Dedridge Baptist Church, Quentin Rise.
Community Classes - will be starting in August/September at Inveralmond and Deans Community High Schools. However, changes to the Individual Learning Account (ILA) mean that the existing scheme will be closed to new applications for a few months. Put Your West Foot Forward: Join us on our free walks to meet new friends, discover new walks in your area and improve your fitness. Our walks are led by trained walk leaders and last between 30-60 minutes. Come along to Livingston South railway station at 7pm on Wednesday 6 September (6.45pm for first-timers) for a mystery walk. o Cats Protection League Talk takes place from 2pm on Friday 14 July
· Bookbug sessions - are fun, free and friendly events open to babies, toddlers and their families to enjoy together. Each session lasts around 30 minutes and includes songs, stories and rhymes. Under 3s and their favourite adults are invited along for fun rhymes, songs and stories. The next sessions take place from 2pm on Thursday 20 July and Saturday 29 July.
