Charity's Comedy Club

Local charity Broxburn United Sports Club is holding its first Comedy Club night, at 7.30pm on Friday 1 March.

The headline act on the evening is Lubna Kerr, who appears at the Edinburgh Festival and has made various appearances on stage, tv and in films. Other acts include Joe McTiernan, Shona Lawson and Natalie Sweeney. 

Tickets are priced at £10 and are on a first come first served basis and can be bought from the club's reception on 01506 858057 or email Comedy Club tickets

Free computer classes and workshops

A free programme of computer classes and workshops will be run from the end of January, providing support for beginner to certificated level.

The courses are ideal for: employability, multimedia, smartphones and tablets.

Blood donor session

The Blood Donor Service will visit Strathbrock Community Centre on Tuesday 5 February

Session times are: 2.30pm - 4pm and 5.30pm - 7.30pm.

Dance fitness

An Ageing Well dance fitness class for over 50s takes place at Xcite Broxburn from 1pm - 2pm every Wednesday.

The cost is £3.50.

Therapy service

Cancer Support Scotland provide counselling services at Strathbrock Partnership Centre all day Wednesday.

One to One counselling for anyone affected by cancer, patients and carers, covering all aspects of the cancer journey from early diagnosis, treatment, end of treatment and bereavement.

They are also providing a new Complementary Therapy service at Strathbrock Partnership Centre each Friday morning. These are therapies complementary to NHS treatments to enable relaxation etc

Let's get moving

The Health Improvement Team has organised a number of physical activity classes, which are open to all.

Just turn up to the classes at Strathbrock Partnership Centre on a Monday or Thursday from 5.15pm - 6pm.

The cost is £2.50 per class, and there's no need to book.

Drop in to weigh-and-go

Weigh2Go West Lothian is a free, weekly weigh-in service that provides help and support on losing weight.

There is also information and signposting on what's on in your area to help you maintain a healthy weight No appointment is necessary just drop in.

Sessions take place at Strathbrock Community Centre on Thursdays from 4pm - 5pm.
