Using a Recycling Centre for Trade Waste
Many of our recycling sites allow traders to dispose of limited amounts of business waste, as long as they have relevant permits.
Important Notice for those who need to get Trade Waste Permits to use our Recycling Centres.
Permits will only be available until Friday 26th January at 4pm at our current office at Operational Services, Deans Depot, Nairn Road, Deans Industrial Estate, Livingston EH54 8AY.
From Monday 29th January permits will only be available from our new office at:
Whitehill Service Centre,
Whitehill Industrial Estate,
4 Inchmuir Road,
8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm on Friday
IMPORTANT NOTICE - For the safety of yourself and others at recycling centres, bins and waste should not be tipped from the back of a vans. Bins should also not be taken up any stairs. This is to prevent users falling off vehicles, into skips or down the stairs.
How do I gain a trade waste permit?
If you are a trader, you will have to pre-purchase a permit from Operational Services, Deans Depot, Nairn Road, Deans Ind Estate, Livingston EH54 8AY.
These can be purchased from 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm on Friday.
How much does a trade waste permit cost?
The Trade Waste permits costs £85.00 (including VAT) for each visit (disposing of waste up to 500kg).
When can I dispose of trade waste at recycling centres?
