Staying Active

Whether around the home or out in the garden and wider, there are many benefits to taking the time to make movement and fresh air part of your daily routine. Here are some ways to move around by yourself and with others.

The NHS provides a wealth of exercise guides, with text and picture descriptions, from easy chair exercises, to aerobic exercises. There is free access to the NHS Fitness Studio range of online exercise videos, including yoga and Pilates. These and other resources are already highlighted in the Councils Four Pillars of Wellbeing site under Apps and Self-Help toolkit

Keeping close to home and within Scottish Government guidelines for walking/running/cycling outdoors, there is a useful guide provided by the Visit West Lothian site to help you discover local walkways.

For fun sites there are:

Free dance lessons with the professional dancers from Strictly Come Dancing or Disney Dance Along: You can learn their moves or put your own spin on their routines.
