Edinburgh & Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC), founded in 1971, is a voluntary body and charitable company made up of individual members and representatives from a wide range of organisations. ELREC has a remit to work across the areas of City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils. Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC) promotes equality of opportunity for all; fights discrimination; promotes a culture of human rights; fosters good relations in our communities; and promotes cooperation and partnership to meet its aim.
