The Green Team

Practical conservation work and environmental activities at a variety of countryside sites throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians. Projects are open to anyone between the ages of 14 and 25 and we particularly welcome young people who are participating in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Projects are led by trained volunteers and we aim to provide a fun experience whilst doing something of benefit to wildlife and people's enjoyment of the countryside. Tasks include tree planting and other types of woodland management, habitat improvements, clearance of invasive plants and improvements to paths and other forms of access.
