Together For Health (T4H)
Together for Health (T4H) is a community based project which works to promote healthy lifestyles in the Armadale and Fauldhouse areas.
Who Are We?
Together for Health (T4H) is a community based project which works in partnership with a range of local organisations, businesses and community groups, to promote healthy lifestyles in the Armadale and Fauldhouse areas.
What We Do
The project delivers a variety of activities and events encouraging people to Move More and Eat Better with the overall aim of reducing childhood obesity. Key messages of the project include the promotion of a balanced, affordable diet, encouraging children and families to be more physically active and to encourage less time spent doing sedentary activities.
The project undertakes a number of partnership initiatives to support changes in behaviour that promote a healthy weight and to increase awareness of healthy lifestyles in the community. These include a mix of annual offers such as:
- Run for Fun,
- Happy Healthy Summer Camp,
- Fun with Food Festival, and
- Santa Parade.
In addition to this deliver an ongoing programme of healthy activities and workshops that encourage children and families to become more active and to consider healthier foods. These include the following examples:
- Fruity Friday initiatives,
- Community group programmes,
- School projects,
We also work closely with local partner organisations to support the delivery of 'Get Cooking' and 'Wean the weans' programmes and to develop an environment of affordable, physical activity programmes.
