Winchburgh Community Growing Group

Pick your own strawberry's for Wimbledon or use the pizza planter to pick fresh tomatoes, basil and oregano. We're developing an app so the locations and contents of the planters can be found with additional information. Simply food grown locally, for locals, by locals.

Supported by Winchburgh residents the initial idea is to build around 20 new raised planters packed with a variety of edibles beginning with an installation along the new pathway which snakes through Winchburgh: Phase One has begun on the path next to the Bellway houses - Long term it would be favourable to have raised planters all over the village engaging local residents, schools, businesses and community services.

You can already pick some edibles from two of our community planters outside the Tally Ho, at Seton Park and even more locations to follow this summer!
