Proposed bus changes in West Lothian

Impact of First Scotland East proposed bus changes

First Scotland East has launched a public consultation on proposed service changes of their West Lothian network. They have promoted their consultation online via their website and social media channels.

Full details of the proposed changes are available on the First Scotland East website and the council is encouraging local people and businesses to review the proposals put forward and take part in their consultation.

First Scotland East is also hosting a customer roadshow at Livingston Bus Terminal, located between the Livingston Designer Outlet and The Centre, on Friday 1st June from 10:00 until 7pm. All stakeholders are invited to attend.

You can take part in their consultation by visiting First East Scotland website.

Executive councillor for transport and development, Cathy Muldoon said: "I share the concerns of local people about some of the proposed changes put forward by First Scotland East in their consultation.  Myself and the Leader of the Council have requested an urgent meeting with the Managing Director of First Scotland East to discuss these proposed changes.

"If local people haven't done so already, I'd encourage people to familiarise themselves with the proposed changes which are available on the First Scotland East website and make their views known via their consultation."

"It is First Scotland East that is proposing changes to these commercial services, not West Lothian Council. The council has no authority over these commercial changes."

To help you understand what impact the proposed changes would have on local services, Council Officers have been through the details of the proposals and pulled together this guide which you may find helpful.
