The group is associated with Armadale Methodist church, but it is essentially an ecumenical group, but all women in the area are welcome. Meetings are held between September and May.

    Bathgate Concert Orchestra are currently seeking new members. If you can play an instrument, why not come along and join us on a fun Friday evening - all ages and abilities are most welcome. We are a group of musicians, both professional and amateur, who meet for rehearsals weekly on a Friday evening, during school term time only. We also hold a Spring Concert and Christmas Concert annually, as well as other events. Rehearsals commence at 7.30pm. Please feel free to come along and enjoy a fun evening and meet new friends who will make you feel very welcome.

    The Hielan Coo Ceilidh Band is a lively duo playing toe-tapping Ceilidh music on accordion & piano with backing music to give a BIG sound from a duo. We can also call the dances if you are a bit unsure, or alternatively we can demonstrate the dances and let you follow what we do. All types of Ceilidh dance are covered - from well-known ones like Strip the Willow & the Gay Gordons to lesser-known ones such as the Social Swing and the John O'Groat's Reel.

    Pet Fostering Service Scotland provides foster care for the pets whose owners have an emergency and no-one to look after their pet. They must be unable to afford kennel or cattery fees or arrange alternative care for their pet. We make no charge for the service but do expect owners to pay for food for their pet and to be responsible for any veterinary costs whilst the pet is in our care.     Samaritans are volunteers trained to offer a listening ear to anyone who finds they are unable to cope with the problems, crises or loneliness which can confront people at any time in their lives. The phone lines are open 24 hours a day.

    Young Scot, a registered charity has launched a freephone telephone helpline service. It offers 11 to 26 year olds a confidential service which is open Monday to Friday from 10.00am until 6.00pm. Calls are answered by Information Advisors who are fully trained to listen and offer neutral information to callers. The InfoLine is a "just ask" service on anything from how to get a Young Scot card, to money and health issues.
