- Family History Society Workshop
Ever wondered about your family roots?
The West Lothian Family History Society volunteers will be running monthly workshops throughout West Lothian libraries to celebrate the year of History, Heritage and Archaeology. They assist people beginning their research into their family history or will help anyone 'stuck' with their research. In August the workshop will take place in East Calder Library.
The Family History Society asks anyone coming along, to bring as much information as they can to help start their search. This is a free service provided by the society; however, if accessing the Scotlandspeople website, charges will apply if certificates are viewed and printed.
The workshop will take place on Saturday 5 August from 10.00am - 12.30pm.
The library offers registration services by appointment for any birth or death that occur anywhere in Scotland or marriage within West Lothian.
Service available by appointment:
Monday: 2.00pm - 4.30pm
Wednesday: 11.00am -1.00pm
Friday: 2.00pm - 4.30pm
Please phone 01506 884680 to make an appointment.
Registration services are also available in other offices and full details are available on the Registration pages.
