Almondbank Library (Craigshill)

Located in Craigshill in Livingston, Almondbank Library offers library facilities, public access computers and Access2Employment advisors.

Almondbank Library offers a wide range of library and information services to people of all ages living or working in West Lothian. A comprehensive selection of fiction, non-fiction and children's books is available in a variety of formats, including talking books, and adult large print. There are also six PCs available for free public use to access the Internet, email or MS Office packages.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 9am - 6pm

Thursday: 9am -7pm

Saturday: 9am - 1pm

Stories, songs & rhymes for babies, toddlers & pre-school children.  Bring a grown-up with you to share in the fun.

Fortnightly Lego Club at Almondbank on Saturday's from 10am until 11am for 6-12 year olds.  Come along and get creative.

  • Almondbank Kid's Craft Sessions

Craft sessions are held every Friday at 2pm for children aged 5-12 years. 


  • Adult Crime Reading Group

The group meets once a month between 3pm and 4pm and new members are always welcome.

  • Comics, Manga & Graphic Novel Reading Group

The group meets between 4.30pm and 6pm and new members are always welcome.

  • Coding Clubs

Almondbank Library holds Coding Clubs every Monday and Thursday from 4pm until 5pm.

  • IT Buddy

An IT Buddy will be available at Almondbank Centre every Thursday between 9am-11am offering friendly practical help for members of the public who have difficulty dealing with online services.   This can include setting up and using email, navigate internet and use of search engines, accessing official online services, using website to search for work & use on social media.   One hour Sessions are available to book in advance for anyone requiring assistance.   Please call 01506-283136.



Access2Employment is available in Almondbank Centre, continuing support tailored around the individual so that they are equipped with employability skills that meet the needs of employers. Advisers help people to develop confidence or advise on preparing CVs, provide interview guidance, assist with the completion of application forms and provide overall employability support.  Access2Employment has four PCs.

Interview rooms mean quiet, confidential consulting areas are now available. Access2Employment also deals with people who are under threat of redundancy to help them move into a new job as quickly as possible. For more information Freephone 0800 032 9768.


K.O. Burgers is now open in Almondbank Centre serving hot and cold foods, breakfasts, mammoth spiced sausages, paninis, salads etc.

We are known for our speciality K.O. Burgers, all being served daily.  On Wednesdays and Thursdays, we have our famous Mr Singh's curries.  On Fridays we also serve fish, chips and peas.

Our Opening hours are:

Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm.
