Almondbank Library (Craigshill)

Located in Craigshill in Livingston, Almondbank Library offers library facilities, public access computers and Access2Employment advisors.


Almondbank Library offers a wide range of library and information services to people of all ages living or working in West Lothian. A comprehensive selection of fiction, non-fiction and children's books is available in a variety of formats, including talking books, and adult large print. There are also six PCs available for free public use to access the Internet, email or MS Office packages.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 9am - 6pm

Thursday: 9am -7pm

Saturday: 9am - 1pm

What's On​​

To celebrate Book Week Scotland 19th - 25th November 2018, the Bookbug session on 19th will have a Scottish theme, there's a quiz and a cuppa on Wednesday 21st from 4pm to 5pm, a Scottish themed storytime on Thursday 22nd at 10am and a craft session on Friday 23rd at 2pm.  Please contact the Library for further information.

Stories, songs & rhymes for babies, toddlers & pre-school children.  Bring a grown-up with you to share in the fun.

  • Lego Club at Almondbank

Fortnightly Lego Club at Almondbank on Saturday's from 10am until 11am for 6-12 year olds.  Come along and get creative.

  • Almondbank Kid's Craft Sessions

Craft sessions are held for children aged 5-12 years every Friday.  Please come along between 2pm and 3pm - new members are very welcome.

The group meets between 4.30pm and 6pm and new members are always welcome.

Almondbank Library holds a Monday Coding Club on Mondays between 4.15pm and 5.15pm and a Thursday Coding Club on Thursdays from 4pm until 5pm.

  • IT Buddy

An IT Buddy will be available at Almondbank Centre each Thursday between 9am-12 noon offering friendly practical help for members of the public who have difficulty dealing with online services.   This can include setting up and using email, navigate internet and use of search engines, accessing official online services, using website to search for work & use on social media.   One hour Sessions are available to book in advance for anyone requiring assistance.   Please call 01506-283136.


Access2Employment

Access2Employment is available in Almondbank Centre, continuing support tailored around the individual so that they are equipped with employability skills that meet the needs of employers. Advisers help people to develop confidence or advise on preparing CVs, provide interview guidance, assist with the completion of application forms and provide overall employability support.  Access2Employment has four PCs.

Interview rooms mean quiet, confidential consulting areas are now available. Access2Employment also deals with people who are under threat of redundancy to help them move into a new job as quickly as possible. For more information Freephone 0800 032 9768.


Catering

K.O. Burgers is now open in Almondbank Centre serving hot and cold foods, breakfasts, mammoth spiced sausages, paninis, salads etc.

We are known for our speciality K.O. Burgers, all being served daily.  On Wednesdays and Thursdays, we have our famous Mr Singh's curries.  On Fridays we also serve fish, chips and peas.

Our Opening hours are:

Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm.
