Almondbank Library (Craigshill)

Located in Craigshill in Livingston, Almondbank Library offers library facilities, public access computers and Access2Employment advisors.


Almondbank Library offers a wide range of library and information services to people of all ages living or working in West Lothian. A comprehensive selection of fiction, non-fiction and children's books is available in a variety of formats, including talking books, and adult large print. There are also six PCs available for free public use to access the Internet, email or MS Office packages.

Thursday: 9am -7pm

Sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge from Friday 22 June, read six books, take part in fun activities and get rewards - and all for free!  Open to primary school aged children of all reading abilities.  Speak to library staff for more details and to register.  The challenge takes place from 2 July to 17 August 2018.

Almondbank Library holds a Monday Coding Club on Mondays between 4.15pm and 5.15pm and a Thursday Coding Club on Thursdays from 4.00pm until 5.00pm.

  • IT Buddy

An IT Buddy will be available on Thursday mornings each week to offer assistance at Almondbank Library starting on Thursday 6 September. The IT Buddy will be available from 9.30am-12 noon and will provide friendly and practical help to members of the public who have difficulty dealing with online services.   This could include setting up and using email, navigating the internet and using search engines as well as using social media etc.  Bookings for a one-hour slot can be taken by calling the library on 01506 283133.


Access2Employment is available in Almondbank Centre, continuing support tailored around the individual so that they are equipped with employability skills that meet the needs of employers. Advisers help people to develop confidence or advise on preparing CVs, provide interview guidance, assist with the completion of application forms and provide overall employability support.  Access2Employment has four PCs.

Interview rooms mean quiet, confidential consulting areas are now available. Access2Employment also deals with people who are under threat of redundancy to help them move into a new job as quickly as possible. For more information Freephone 0800 032 9768.


K.O. Burgers is now open in Almondbank Centre serving hot and cold foods, breakfasts, mammoth spiced sausages, paninis, salads etc.

We are known for our speciality K.O. Burgers, all being served daily.  On Wednesdays and Thursdays, we have our famous Mr Singh's curries.  On Fridays we also serve fish, chips and peas.

Our Opening hours are:

Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm.
