Traffic disruptions due to parades

Roads can be occupied to accommodate a range of parades in West Lothian.

September

Bathgate Parade - Saturday 29 September

Mid Street, Hopetoun Street, North Bridge Street, South Bridge Street, Gardners Lane, King Street, Academy Street, George Street and George Place will be occupied for a parade

  • The parade will take place between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday 29 September

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

October

Whitburn Parade - Saturday 13 October

Murraysgate Industrial Estate, West Main Street, East Main Street and Shanks Road will be occupied for a parade.

  • The parade will take place from 10.30am until 11.30am on Saturday 13 October

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

November

Bathgate Remembrance Parade - Sunday 11 November

North Bridge Street, Hopetoun Street, Mid Street, Academy Street, King Street, George Place and South Bridge Street will be occupied for a Remembrance Day Parade.

  • The parade will take place 12.5pm until 2.45pm on Sunday 11 November

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

Blackburn Parade - Saturday 3 November

Bathgate Road, East Main Street, Elm Grove, Rowan Drive, Rowan Street and Mosside Road will be occupied for a parade.

  • The parade will take place between 12pm and 2pm on Saturday 3 November

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

West Calder Remembrance Parade - Sunday 11 November

The A71, Main Street from West Kirk of Calder to the junction with East End and Harburn Road from the junction with the A71 Main Street to the junction with Grant Street will be occupied for a Remembrance Day Parade.

  • The parade will take place from 10.40am until 11.15am on Sunday 11 November

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

Livingston Remembrance Parade - Sunday 11 November

Howden South Road, Livingston will be occupied from St Margaret's Academy to The Civic Centre for a Remembrance Parade. Hochsauerland Brae will also be closed. 

  • The parade will take place between 10am and 12pm on Sunday 11 November
Whitburn Armistice Parade - Sunday 11 November

Armadale Road and Manse Road will be occupied for a parade.

  • The parade will take place between 10.30am and 1pm on Sunday 11 November

Linlithgow Remembrance Parade - Sunday 11 November

Philip Avenue, West Port, High Street, The Cross and Kirkgate will be occupied for a parade.

  • The parade will take place between 10am and 1pm on Sunday 11 November

Armadale Parade - Saturday 17 November

George Street, Academy Street, High Academy Street, Avondale Drive, West Main Street, North Street, McNeil Crescent, King Street and East Main Street will be occupied for a parade.

  • The parade will take place between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday 17 November

December

Armadale Parade - Saturday 8 December

West Main Street, East Main Street and Murray Court will be occupied for a parade.

  • The parade will take place between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday 8 December
