Traffic disruptions due to parades

Roads can be occupied to accommodate a range of parades in West Lothian.

December

Armadale Parade - Saturday 8 December

West Main Street, East Main Street and Murray Court will be occupied for a parade.

  • The parade will take place between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday 8 December

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

West Calder Santa Parade - Sunday 9 December

Harburn Road, A71 East End, Main Street and Dickson Street will be occupied for a Santa Parade.

  • The parade will take place between 4pm and 5pm on Sunday 9 December

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

Stoneyburn and Bents Future Vision Group Santa Parade - Sunday 9 December

Main Street, Sunnyside, Wilson Terrace, Cannop Crescent, Garden City, Main Street and Foulshield park will be occupied for a Santa Parade. 

  • The parade will take place between 4pm and 5.30pm on Sunday 9 December

Please note that no diversion routes are required as the Police will hold the traffic to allow parade to pass.

Fauldhouse Santa Parade - Tuesday 18 December

Main Street will be closed between 5.45pm and 6pm and Lanrigg Road, Eastfield Road and Sheephousehill occupied for a Santa Parade.

  • The parade will take place between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday 18 December

Diversion during the closure will be via Village Green then as directed by the Police. 

Kirknewton Torchlight Procession - Monday 24 December

Meadowbank Road, Kaimes Crescent, Forth View, Main Street, Station Road and Braekirk Road will be occupied for a Torchlight Procession.

  • The parade will take place between 10pm and 11pm on Monday 24 December

February

Linlithgow Thinking Day Parade - Sunday 24 February

Blackness Road, High Street, The Cross and Kirkgate will be occupied for the North Division Girl Guiding Thinking Day Parade.

  • The parade will take place between 2.30pm and 3pm on Sunday 24 February
