Our Services
There are 14 community libraries in West Lothian and the Public Reference Library is located in West Lothian College in Livingston. We also have two mobile libraries, which will visit outlying areas. If you want to find out about West Lothian's past or search your family tree, then visit our Local History Library at Library HQ in Blackburn.
Library membership is open to anyone who lives, works or has an interest in West Lothian. All you need to join is two forms of identification, one of which must include your name and address. There is no minimum age to join and it's FREE to borrow books and to use the computer. Click here to view or download the leaflet that explains the wide range of services on offer at your local library.

Most libraries have a selection of newspapers and magazines for you to browse, with comfortable seating areas and some libraries have coffee machines. View or download a listing of what's available at the bottom of the page.
