Theatres
Theatres in West Lothian stage a very broad range of performances taking in all kinds of music, drama and dance. West Lothian Council is part of the way through a strategic plan to redevelop 3 arts venues - The Regal Community Theatre in Bathgate, Howden Park Centre in Livingston and the Burgh Halls in Linlithgow.
Work began in October to transform the Burgh Halls. The £6million redevelopment of Howden Park Centre in Livingston is due for completion in Spring 2009. It will feature a new 300 seat theatre at the heart of the building. The Regal Community Theatre in Bathgate reopened in April 2006 following a major refurbishment and became West Lothian's main arts venue.
